My overarching goal for every child is to build strong foundations
academically, emotionally and socially. I anticipate a great year
while teachers are teaching and students are learning I will accelerate
my learning as well. I am fortunate to join a team of educators that
have evidenced success in being a school that works.
Our learning
framework is based on the Independent Investigative Method (IIM), which
enables our students to deepen their understanding of concepts and
mentally develop organizational skills. The IIM allows Museum Magnet
students to Explore, Experiment, Exhibit, and Explain. I invite you to
view our calendar and attend a Family Exhibit night, where one of our grade
levels will showcase their exhibits.
As we fulfill our
mission of “developing creative thinkers who can work cooperatively to
solve problems”, we invite you to work along side of us providing us
with encouragement, support, and ideas. We work to ensure that all
families are involved in the school community. Please help your child
reach optimal success by attending conferences, volunteering in the
classroom or school, attending parent nights and evening programs,
joining school communities (site council, PTA), going on field trips,
attending Family exhibit nights, and making sure that your child reads
and completes homework regularly.
