Microworlds EX Projects
Microworlds is a program that uses LOGO, a programming language developed by Seymour Papert at MIT in the 60's.  It was created frim the idea that children learn best by doing and creating their own work.

We have been using MicroWorlds since 1998 and teachers, students, and parents all love it.  It has been integrated into the students exhibit process as much as possible and has the students work has often been part of the students' exhibit.

In the Monarch Project example to the right you can see a screen shot of something that our 3rd graders do each year.  They all get to learn about and then animate one or more stages of the monarchs development from egg to adult.

We are in the process of putting our students projects on our Website so that you can view them using the MicroWorlds Web Player.

This year at Museum Magnet we are using MicroWorlds EX.  You must install the correct player for your computer to view the projects.

Until our own projects are up and running you can visit the Project Library portion of the MicroWorlds Website.
