Hello! My name is Krista Ottino. I have taught at Museum Magnet for fifteen years. I coordinated a homeless shelter program for the
district, that was housed at Museum Magnet, called Project CRYSTAL
during my first two years. After that, I taught first grade for eight
years and have spent the past five years in the third grade.
Teaching
is a second career for me after working in adolescent and adult
chemical dependency treatment for twelve years. I graduated from the
University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education in
1991. I received my Master's degree from the University of Minnesota in
Instructional Systems and Technology in 1995. I am currently finishing
my Doctorate at the University of Minnesota in Educational Policy and
Administration and will graduate in May 2008. I also completed my
principal licensure in 2003.
In my spare time I enjoy watching
the birds and wildlife that visit my yard. I also enjoy reading,
gardening, and playing with my two Siamese kittens- Lucius and Pullo.
