The Museum Magnet uses the Museum Process (Exploring, Experimenting,
Explaining and Exhibiting) while teaching all-school themes and
academic subjects. The Kindergarten Year is looked at as an
“Introductory Year of the Museum Process" where the children begin to
see how
objects, collections, labels and exhibits are used in museums. Children
also learn how these items are relevant in their own lives. The
children
participate in a variety of discussions, hands-on activities and field
trips which focus on the inquiry process. They are exposed to the
steps in
the Museum Process and they develop their own student exhibits twice
during the year.
