Mr. Funk went to first grade in Wabasha, Minnesota. Hamline University is where he got his B.A and MA.Ed. He has taught for 17 years, 14 years in St. Paul with the last 8 in first grade. Mr. Funk enjoys reading, riding his bike, listening to music and watching baseball. Spending time with his wife and 2 daughters is his favorite thing of all. Funk says" I really like first graders. They are very excited and enthusiastic about learning."
