My experiences at Museum Magnet have all been very fun. My favorites are, going to the Science Museum and looking at all the cool things there, going to Ms. Thimmesch where you make all these fantastic things, and field-trips. Field trips are the most fun. Ms. Thimmesch is the Independent Museum Learners teacher (IML). She takes people into classes and gives them hard tasks. We get to have three-day residencies twice a year there because our school is linked with the Science Museum. I’ve been here since kindergarten and all our activities here have been really fun. 4th Grade Student: Lane
My experiences at Museum Magnet are wonderful. Mr. Keller is my teacher. He’s really nice. He teaches us cool stuff like drawing cool pictures, cool math tricks, and cool experiments. Ms. Hasapopoulos is our music teacher; she’s really nice. She teaches us to sing and how to play instruments. There is also band. I have joined; I play my auntie’s 20-year-old saxophone. Mr. Scioli is our gym teacher. He teaches us fun games and we learn how to play bowling, football, volleyball and more. He educates us about health. 4th Grade Student: Calvin
The reason I like Museum Magnet is the teachers are nice. The kids are helpful and fill your brain. 5th Grade Student: Shakyila
The size… It’s just small enough so people know each other, but big enough so people don’t get cramped in one classroom… The Exhibits… I like presenting my exhibits with other kids, having the feel that we’ve all worked hard… The People… The people who greet you at every doorway always know your name, and are always friendly… And that is why I like Museum Magnet 5th Grade Student: Devon
At Museum Magnet I like a lot of things. The teachers are very nice to everyone. l ike that the work given is challenging. If the work is not challenging enough some kids can go to IML. That is a challenging class. I also like that Museum Magnet is in a partnership with the Science Museum. 6th Grade Student: Miles
I like how our school incorporates traditional learning with hands-on Museum work. I like how we are able to choose our exhibit topic and how we are able to design and build our own exhibit. 6th Grade Student: Maddie
I feel like my ideas are not restricted and I can feel creative and free. I feel like I can ask questions; “why?” is an important thing to ask. I can find all I want to know here. 6th Grade Student: Kate
At Museum Magnet, I enjoy a lot of things. I really like Literature Circles because it gives you time to read a variety of books and really think about them. I also enjoy kindergarten buddies, math, social studies, Readers Theater and gym. I go to band and play the flute and cello. I love this school! 6th Grade Student: Natazia
