Teacher Bio Welcome to second grade! My name is Allison Quam and this is my 22nd year of teaching in St. Paul.  I grew up on a farm in Southeastern South Dakota,  I went to school in a one room school house until third grade.  There was no kindergarten, and I was the only one in my class when I was in first and second grade.  I loved school then and I really love being a teacher now.  Each day I learn many new things, and there is never a dull moment when you are surrounded by 20+ children everyday.
