| What some parents are saying about Museum Magnet It’s all about the 3B’s. Be a learner, be respectful, and be safe. Museum Magnet carries out their motto to the fullest. Parent: Sye Her We could not have asked for a more responsive environment for our children. The teachers and staff use the museum model of learning to create an environment that supports student success and family envolvenent. We believe Willie and Akeem will continue to use the explore, experiment and exhibit approach to learning throughout their education. Parents: Artika and Willie Rolller Deciding where to send my son to kindergarten was difficult. There were a lot of good choices. My wife and I agonized over this decision, but at the last minute we choose Museum Magnet because we felt it had the best teachers and curriculum of all the schools we considered in St. Paul. A year later I can tell you this: we made the right choice. Museum Magnet has exceeded all my expectations. While I was extremely pleased with my son’s (kindergarten) teacher, I began to wonder if she was an exception or one of many excellent teachers. I believe it is the latter case. I had the chance over the school year to observe all of the prep teacher’s classes. I once again found myself extremely impressed with the level of instruction my son has received from them. I especially liked the way the Computer and Literacy instructors supplemented his primary teacher’s efforts in reading and writing. My son has learned more this year than I could have ever imagined. Parent:Geoff Hankerson We decided on Museum Magnet after learning about the Science Museum partnership and curriculum. The partnership is what differentiates this great school from others. It’s given my son an opportunity to learn in a more creative and independent learning environment. Parents: Newland and Sai Yang We chose Museum Magnet because of the connection with the Science Museum and the enrichment possibilities that come with that partnership. We’ve stayed with the school because of the teachers. They take the time to know the kids. They get involved, make the kids feel welcome and provide a positive, interesting and stimulating learning environment. It’s a great school! Parents: Ann and Tom Atmore Small school size and progressive staff, coupled with the hands-on approach of the museum process and infusion of energy from the Science Museum staff, allows our kids to go to a school that is “all America” and see that when given the tools, each student can succeed.
